Singapore passport holders can visit Taiwan for up to 30 days without a visa. Foreign residents of Singapore who need a visa, and Singaporeans staying longer, apply at the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore with two colour passport-size photos, 45 mm high by 35 mm wide, on a white background and taken within the last 6 months.
Taiwan visa photo size and requirements
| Photo size | 45 mm high × 35 mm wide |
|---|---|
| Number | Two identical colour photos |
| Background | White |
| Photo age | Taken within the last 6 months |
| Finish | Glossy, according to the Taipei Representative Office |
The Taipei Representative Office's own page gives the size as "3.5cm x 4cm", which looks like a typo; Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) specifies 45 × 35 mm. BOCA's more detailed passport photo standard adds a head height of 32–36 mm, a neutral expression with the mouth closed, and no tinted glasses or glare.
Applying at the Taipei Representative Office
Fill in the online visa application form on the BOCA website, print it with its barcode, and attach the two photos. Submit it in person or through a proxy on weekdays from 9:00 to 11:30. Normal processing takes 2 working days. A single-entry visitor visa costs S$65 and a multiple-entry visa S$129.
Taiwan Arrival Card
All visitors, including visa-exempt Singaporeans, must complete the online Taiwan Arrival Card before arrival. It does not need a face photo; you can optionally upload your passport data page to fill in your details.
