From 15 September 2026, Singapore passport holders can visit Thailand for tourism for up to 30 days per entry without a visa, down from 60 days. Longer stays and other purposes need a visa, applied for online at thaievisa.go.th. The Thailand e-Visa photo is a proper passport-type photo on a white background, taken within the last 6 months and uploaded as a JPG of up to 3 MB.
Thailand e-Visa photo requirements
| File | JPG or JPEG, up to 3 MB |
|---|---|
| Background | White |
| Photo age | Taken within the last 6 months |
| Style | A proper passport-type photo, not one cropped from your passport |
| Clothing | No shirtless, tank-top or strapless photos |
| Resolution | At least 300 PPI (Royal Thai Embassy, Doha) |
No fixed size in millimetres
Thailand's official e-Visa guide sets a file limit but no size in millimetres or pixels, and Thai embassies word the rules differently. A standard 35 × 45 mm passport-style photo on white meets the rules above. Make sure it looks like you do now: a photo that does not match your current appearance can lead to refused entry.
Visa-free entry and the TDAC
The 30-day visa exemption replaced the 60-day scheme on 15 September 2026. All foreign visitors must submit the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 3 days before arrival. The TDAC does not ask for a photo. Thailand has not launched an electronic travel authorisation, so websites selling a "Thailand ETA" are not official.
Long-stay visas in Singapore
The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, at 370 Orchard Road, handles long-stay visa applications. Check its current checklist for the photos it needs alongside your e-Visa application.
