Singapore passport holders can stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days without a visa. For longer trips, or if you live in Singapore on a passport that needs a visa, apply for a Vietnam e-Visa of up to 90 days. The Vietnam e-Visa photo is a recent 4 × 6 cm portrait, uploaded as a JPG under 2 MB, facing the front with no hat and no glasses, on a white background.

Vietnam's official sources differ in places. An older Immigration Department page limits the portrait to 50 KB, and the foreign ministry's visa guide accepts a photo up to 1 year old and only bans dark or tinted glasses. A recent photo without glasses meets all of them. If the e-Visa form refuses a large file, try a smaller one.
Applying for a Vietnam e-Visa
Apply only on the official e-Visa portal, evisa.gov.vn. Since 15 August 2023 the e-Visa has been open to citizens of all countries and territories, for stays of up to 90 days with single or multiple entry. You upload the portrait photo and a scan of your passport data page.
Pre-arrival declaration
Vietnam has no electronic travel authorisation for visa-free visitors. Travellers flying into major airports, including Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc, are asked to complete an online pre-arrival information declaration up to 3 days before arrival. It does not ask for a photo.
