A US visa photo is square: 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm) when printed, or between 600 × 600 and 1200 × 1200 pixels for the digital photo you upload with the DS-160 form. That is a different shape from a Singapore passport photo, so you need a separate photo for your US visa application in Singapore.

No glasses in US visa photos
Unlike Singapore, the US does not accept eyeglasses in visa photos. Take them off, even if the lenses are clear. Only applicants who cannot remove their glasses for medical reasons may wear them, with a signed medical statement.
Samples show the pose and background; a real US visa photo is cropped square.
Uploading your photo to the DS-160
The DS-160 online application checks your digital photo when you upload it. Crop it to a square with your head centred, and keep the file under 240 kB. Bring a printed 2 × 2 inch copy to your interview at the US Embassy in Singapore if you are asked to.
Visa or ESTA?
Singapore citizens travelling for short tourism or business trips can usually use the Visa Waiver Program with an approved ESTA instead of a visa. You still need a visa, and a visa photo, for study, work, exchange programmes and other categories, or if you are not eligible for the Visa Waiver Program.
